NOWACO is all about trading food and foodstuffs. Once we were big in distribution as well.
In 1990 NOWACO established its first subsidiary company in Prague and started to buy, store, sell, and distribute frozen food and ready-made meals all over Czechoslovakia.

At first the company rented freezing facilities and hired lorries to distribute the goods, but the company’s growth made it necessary to own lorries, freezing facilities, and production plants of its own.
In 1998 NOWACO was listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange to obtain the resources to meet the financial demands of the expansion in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Lithuania, where our sales and distribution activities became extensive.
When selling our production and distribution activities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary in 2005, NOWACO, in the Czech Republic alone, had 1200 employees, its own NOWACO brand for several products and production plants for producing ready-made meals, ice cream, and vegetables.
We returned to our roots: trading food and foodstuffs. Distribution and storage facilities were no longer part of NOWACO. The following year NOWACO Group A/S was withdrawn from the Danish Stock Exchange.
