The raisin raise

A Russian customer using NOWACO in the act of selling frozen food to Afghanistan told us that in Afghanistan he bought raisins to send back to Russia. Thanks to our local offices in Chile, Argentina, USA, India, and China we could provide this customer with raisins of other sorts along with a variety of dried fruits and nuts. Together with the customer, we developed a whole new business for him by financing a machine for producing raisins in Afghanistan. Because of our intervention the Russian customer's sales potential increased significantly. Furthermore, he became a producer on top of being a seller/buyer. Now we buy one sort of raisins from him while selling other sorts to him.

Once we bought goods in China for a customer. He had a desire for doing this himself and therefore bought a shipload of fish only to discover, that they could not be sold in Europe, simply because the quality of the fish wasn't at all what he had expected. Realizing that a local quality control was a necessity, he left all further trades in the hands of NOWACO.

 

Another customer bought 900 tons of onions in India. He had a fit when he discovered that the onions he had bought were red onions, not brown. Again the quality control of a local NOWACO office came in demand.
